Full-Time Sr. Process Engineers

The incumbent will assist with a wide variety of tasks related to technical and operational support for the plant. You will study aspects of operational efficiency and quantify and develop strategies for mitigating risks. As well as analyze, troubleshoot, and do research/test work.

Responsibilities:
-Assist the Process Engineering Team to develop a Start-Up Plan. You will be reviewing the Commissioning and Start-up Schedule, making changes, developing Start-up procedures and documents, and identifying resource requirements.  As well as jointly plan and implement plant-wide improvements, R&D programs and capital projects.
-Assist in the diagnosis of technical problems related to the plant’s operation, and conduct research to develop appropriate corrective action plans.  
-Strong knowledge about the Hydromet Process.
-Support the Safe Production model of risk and hazard management. 
-Provide mentoring, training, and coaching to a very high standard to colleagues.
-Using METSIM^®, perform metallurgical process simulations to identify how the process will perform with variability in process parameters.
-Design and implement experiments to aid in process optimization. Correct investigative techniques should be applied (Design of Experiment).
-Prepare technical reports and presentation.

Requirements:
-A Degree in Chemical, Process or Metallurgical Engineering.
-Professional Registration with PEGNL (P.Eng)
-Canadian experience of 8 to 10 years.
-Experience and Knowledge in a hydrometallurgical processing plant.
-Commissioning and Start-up experience is an asset.
-Knowledge and experience using METSIM^®.
-Design of experiment knowledge.
-Commissioning and Start-up knowledge.
